GTA gets a VR

Grand Theft Auto V (more commonly abbreviated GTA V) is an action-adventure video game, developed by Rockstar North and edited by Rockstar Games. It came out in 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, in 2014 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and then in 2015 on PC; It is also planned to be marketed in 2022 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game beats seven sales records when leaving and becoming a great commercial success, exceeding 20 million copies sold in two weeks, as well as more than one billion dollars of recipe. The game receives the Golden Joystick Award for the game of the year, but also the Game of the Year Prize. In August 2021, the game flows more than 150 million copies of any confused support, placing it in second place of the most sold video games of all time, behind Minecraft.

Facebook announced in the revelation of its new roof company Meta that the Oculus team works together with Rockstar Games at an official VR implementation of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Quest 2.

According to the team, the project should already be in development for several years. Players will experience the world of Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas here from a completely new viewing angle. First image material has not been shown yet. Accordingly, it is also unclear whether the port is the original to the upcoming Remaster version or a separate remake.

GTA: San Andreas VR appears exclusively for Quest 2

Facebook and Oculus have initially secured the exclusive rights for the VR implementation of San Andreas. Accordingly, the game will not appear on other VR headsets - including Valve Index, HTC Vive or PSVR. A similar strategy chose those responsible at Resident Evil 4 VR. The title has also been available exclusively for Oculus Quest 2 since last week.

GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition appears in November

Even before the VR implementation for Quest 2, Fans of Rockstar Games may look forward to the three Remasters of GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City in the GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. In addition to improved graphics, for example, the controller was adjusted. The trilogy appears for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch Digital on November 11th.
