Activision Blizzard: No objections to Raven software

Former gaming testers at the Call of Duty developer have organized themselves in January and a union founded. We had reported about it.

Microsoft has now been interviewed by some employees of Activision. They wanted to know what the position of the Windows Group is representing union.

Accordingly, Microsoft has no objections to the recognition and an efficacy of a union.

The planned acquisition (purchase price of $ 69 million) by Activision Blizzard by Microsoft must still overcome some hurdles of regulatory authorities. It is expected to take months until the conclusion of the deal.

As Axios reports, Microsoft could have a certain say in the trade union efforts of the publisher.

A spokesman said Axios on request that "Microsoft will not stand in the way if Activision Blizzard recognizes a union".

And: "Microsoft respects the right of Activision Blizzard employees to decide whether they want to be represented by a union, and we will respect this decision."

However, it is unclear whether and which conversations Microsoft has already led in this regard and what expectations is made to any collective bargaining.
