Three weeks to match Dying Light sales in seven months

The first Dying Light was released in January 2015 , reaching 1.2 million sales in a week , a record for a new Survival-Horror license. The title had reached 5 million sales in August 2015. Its suite is already much better. Released in February, Dying Light 2: Stay Human already recorded 3 million sales during his weekend launch. This time, the game achieves an even more impressive result. Indeed, Techland tells us that 5 million copies of Dying Light 2: Stay Human were sold, on February 28 . In other words, it took three weeks at the game to reach a number of sales similar to what Dying Light first of the name had done in seven months . Very impressive, all the more for a game that has not even been released on all the platforms ** planned: indeed, the Switch version is still expected.

Commerce success, but also critical success

The first franchise game has reached 20 million sales today , seven years after its release. We can therefore expect this record to be largely beaten by the second episode , when we see this thunderous start. Especially since the game is not just a commercial success, but also a critical success . Applauded by a large part of the press, it also has 230,000 mainly positive criticisms from players , reports Techland. The game is still only at the beginning of its exploitation, and the regular additions of content should make it possible to bring together even more players in the future.

Techland notably announces new content next week. As a reminder, Dying Light 2: Stay Human was released on February 4 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One. A switch version in cloud is still expected.
